O Argonautas é um coletivo de ilustradores que tem por objetivo promover a arte, o design gráfico e a ilustração paraenses. O coletivo realiza exposições, palestras e oficinas para ampliar e profissionalizar esse mercado.
Nesse sentido, o grupo sentiu a necessidade de fazer uma aproximação entre o público e as ilustrações de maneira mais interativa, ultrapassando os limites das redes sociais e da Internet. O tema do Círio de Nazaré vem de encontro a esse desejo, permitindo uma releitura de um evento tão tradicional, mas que ao mesmo tempo se renova a cada ano.
O Projeto “Exposição Círio Ilustrado” é a reunião de obras de ilustradores do Coletivo Argonautas, tendo como tema o Círio de Nazaré e suas diferentes manifestações culturais, interpretadas pelo olhar de cada artista.
A forma das peças da exposição são uma alusão às fitinhas coloridas características do Círio de Nazaré, tal qual as fitas do Bonfim, na Bahia, por isso cada arte tem uma cor de fundo diferente. Além disso, a forma como estão dispostas permitem que o observador interaja, passeie por entre as obras.

*Círio de Nazaré is the biggest catholic procession and feast of Brazil, and happens in Belém, Pará, north of amazonian region.
The shape of the pieces is an allusion to the characteristic ribbons of the procession, just like the Bonfim ribbons in Bahia state, so each art has a different background color. Moreover, the way they are arranged allow the observer to interact, to wander through the works.
